Wow...time flies

So I know that I have not posted in well forever! Almost a month! I'm sorry but things really have been busy. My new job has just been wonderful and awful at the same time. I hit the ground running that first week and have not stopped since then. Things are great but hectic.

The holidays are coming up and let me just remind you for those of you that may have forgot or did not know...I hate the holidays. I have never seen what the big fuss was. Not to mention that all of the bad things in my life seem to have happened on or very close to a holiday. Family dying, or being mamed, or contracting some horrible affilction. Plus the sheer comercialism of the holidays has me reeling. What happened to just being with the ones you love being enough. I bought a friend a very meaningful christmans present a couple of years ago. I really put a lot of thought and love into it. They turned it over to look and the bottom and saw the price tag. From then on the gift was not good enough for them. I could just see it in their eyes like they thought that if I did not spend a certain amount of money then our friendship was not really worth any more than that price tag.

I do love spending time with my family (Or at least most of the time I do and only certain family members.)

My birthday is also coming up...the big 23. Man I am getting old and I feel it.

I have a huge research paper due tomorrow and I will end up pulling an all nighter just to turn out something halfway decent. I have come to the conclusion that If research was meant to be fun then everyone would have their PHD's.

So i have officially exceeded my allowed time to procrastinate on finishing my research paper. I will try and be more consistent in my posts in the future.
